We’re looking for a driven Quantity Surveyor to join our growing commercial team in Cork.

ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the financial management of projects from procurement to final account. You will work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure commercial success and value throughout the construction process.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage all cost and commercial aspects of assigned projects.
  • Prepare and review tender documents, bills of quantities (BOQs), and subcontractor packages.
  • Conduct cost analysis, budgeting, and forecasting to ensure projects remain financially viable.
  • Administer contracts in accordance with relevant forms (e.g. JCT/NEC).
  • Manage valuations, progress payments, and change control processes.
  • Prepare interim and final accounts, including project financial reports.
  • Evaluate variations, claims, and ensure proper documentation.
  • Liaise with project teams, site management, and clients to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Provide accurate and timely cost advice to support project decision-making.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role with a main contractor.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement, and cost management.
  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in cost management software
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
